I’m in Brooklyn by way of Virginia Beach, but the most Southern thing about me is my overuse of “y’all”—I jumped ship in 2013 to immerse myself in a big-city music scene and never looked back. While my résumé might say “journalist,” I’m simply a lifelong fangirl who can’t shut up about the things I love. In my free time, you’ll find me boxing, analyzing 20-second clips of my K-pop biases boxing (looking at you, Terry and Lee Know), or streaming “Boxer” by Stray Kids on a loop.
You’ll find my most recent work on &ASIAN in the form of K-pop articles as well as lineup crafting and artist booking for various events as Head Curator at The Wild Honey Pie, where I previously held the roles of Editor-in-chief and Social Media Coordinator, piloting the increase of intersectional diversity in the artists we feature. I’ve also covered hair and skincare for Byrdie, which prides itself on highlighting inclusivity in the beauty industry.
I studied the intersection of journalism, politics, and cultural criticism in entertainment at New York University, but articles aren’t the only way I tell stories—I’m a forward-thinker in music discovery and curation and entertainment-oriented social media campaigns too. At the root of all forms of my work lies a desire to amplify voices of the queer, female/non-binary, and BIPOC communities, all of which make up my own identity.
And as for #content, I’ve produced editorial components for several brand partnerships, from crafting promotional newsletters and website content to directing cross-platform social media campaigns.
Let’s tell some stories together.
